The Gandhi bust installed at the Municipal Park in Luxembourg

Two Nations Eternalize The Arts

The Governments of India and Luxembourg joined hands to commemorate the artist on two occasions.

In 2019, the Ambassador to Luxembourg in India, His Excellency, Jean Claude Krugener along with the Government of Luxembourg commemorated the artist and gifted the Indian Government a stamp on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th Birth anniversary.

The Gandhi Bust installed at the Municipal Park in Luxembourg, created by Amar Nath Sehgal has been a cultural symbol for the Indian community in the city.

The prestigious joint stamp collection event was organized by the Embassy of Luxembourg along with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India at the Sehgal Private Collection. The stamp was unveiled by The Honourable minister of State, Ministry of External Affairs & Culture, Mrs Meenakashi Lekhi and the Honourable Minister of State for Communications, Mr. Devusinh Chauhan.
