The workshop conducted by upcoming artist Parul Sharma interacted with children of ages 4 and 5 learning about colour in their favourite objects. A fun exercise to encourage children to understand composition as well through collage.
Workshop: Learning Impressions
Students studying in the CHAHAK school of Children’s Hope india visited the museum for a workshop on impressions. The tiny tots spent the day imprinting using material found around them and in nature. It was a fun filled experiment of colour.
Independence Day at the Partition Museum
Unveiling of two bronze sculptures by Amar Nath Sehgal “Soothing hand’ and “Voices” on the occasion of the 76th Independence day and Indian Partition. The sculptures depict pain and suffering of the survivors of partition. Sehgal himself was a victim of the painful history that marked him for life.
Workshop: Creating from creation
Students associated with the Children’s Hope India visited the museum and spent a day understanding the art of Amar Nath Sehgal in the museum. The interaction then led the children to create their own artwork inspired by the art in the museum.
Symposium in IGNCA
As a part of the exhibition, “A Life in Black and White” IGNCA in collaboration with the Amar Nath Sehgal Private Collection organized a
symposium “The Assembly of a Creative Process”.
