The exhibition was organised by Dhoomimal Gallery in New Delhi.
The show was a reminiscence of the art collective, The Delhi Shilpi Chakra which was formed on 25th March 1949. The platform was focused on helping the Delhi based artists looking for progressive art and encourage new ideas.
Their slogan “Art Illuminates life” was to further the idea of art in the everyday lives of people and build a space for ideation. The exhibition was a re-look at these artists some forgotten with time and a few who went on to become the greatest of their time. For the exhibition, on loan from the Sehgal Collection was the bust of artist and mentor B.C. Sanyal.
